[Chronic Procrastination] how do I complete summer work in little time?

Okay so I suffer from this common disease you may have heard of called procrastination and now I am paying the price. The price could be much worse but I am starting now and I have till September 6th to finish my summer assigments.

This is what i have to do:

-for AP Lang, Read 1984 by George Orwell and write summary about a concept in the book. I think I have the main concept down from the first half of the book, should I read the rest?
-Do about 60 questions for AP US, all about a paragraph long answer. These questions refer back to the textbook. I have down 4..

I know I can finish this, but I feel it would be much easier with a plan because I am watching the days go by

WELP

1) Sparknote the rest of the book. Come on, it’s high school.

2) Type your answers if you’re not already doing so - it’s so much faster than writing.

I still have 2 books to finish for English (including notes) and about 4 assignments for history…I came to this thread thinking I could give advice, maybe I’m the one who needs it…

At least I’m not the only one. :stuck_out_tongue: I have 1.5/3 books left to read for AP English and write essays for them… I go back to school in 12 days. I actually was just reading one of the books and then I took a break and stumbled across this thread, haha.
I’ve made it a “rule” for myself that I have to read 3-4 chapters of the book a day, which has so far been working for me. Using a calculator, figure out how many pages/chapters/questions you would have to read a day to finish on time. It’s easier to separate it into separate “chunks” rather than freaking out the night before school starts because you still have two books to read, lol

For the reading sparknotes = win.

For the question, drop the textbook, f it to h3ll.

Google whoever the question is referring too, go to wiki article → profit!!

But seriously, summer high school assignments are a joke. Half the time teachers don’t even look at them and/or forget to collect them.

They expect your quality to be a piece of trash, since it’s summer and really, who expects you to know ANYTHING about the subject material before they have taught it?

It’s just grunt work that doesn’t count/counts for very little.

Don’t stress about it bro, I’ve been there and done that. Just park our arse down at the computer for 3 hours and crank that sh1t out and enjoy the rest of your summer break
