from the newsletter-- looks like they won't go to the waitlist, but you never know

well, obviously! Because Hopkins rocks. :)

JHU is awesome! im glad i made it in despite falling below the median for their SAT -_-'

is that 1440 for admitted, or for enrolled. B/c how does a school's enrolled class rise by 40 pts in a given year. Thats like unbelievable?

its enrolled. And the rise can be attributed to yield management. Princeton this year raised their median SAT by a similar amount.

The SAT median is also slightly higher than the previous year, 1440, up from 1400.

A 40 point increase in one year does not strike me as merely slightly higher. I think a 1440 is pretty impressive.

What happened to Linda Trinh and Chris Elser? Did they get murdered?

yes, within a year, these two hopkins students were murdered. They both lived "off campus" and both of these murders were very random. Linda Trinhs murderer was her roommates ex-boyfriend and Chris Elser's was an attempted robbery at 3 am in the morning. Nothing like that has ever happened before-- not on campus or off and not two times in one year.

That being said, these tragedies were a wake up call for the community. Hopkins has been a safe school thats become safer.

bumping this... I want you all to be proud.. :)

haha. so nice. ^_^

Please don't keep this bumped because it makes me feel stupid. :D
