Fiona - Yeah, that's my plan. If I end up not going to NYU, I'll go wherever I end up going for 4 years and then make the move to the city for at least 15, I figure. Oregon and California are so pretty! It depends on what you're going to end up doing I guess. The good thing about being a doctor is that you could work absolutely anywhere.

Haha why Oregon? Sounds so isolated lmao

Be_somebody I'm applying to Tisch too, but for film and I'm a NYC agent.

You know, your username is crazy cause that's the song I used the talent show question. And I have that everyone on my youtube, haha. Http://youtube.com/chrisbima

Pretty surreal

Oregon cause a close family friend's sister went there to study and she's really crazy about Oregon, haha. Funny though as now her sis lives in California. Like literally everyone I know lives in California so my parents feel better if I'm in CA...there's a support system, haha. Even my dad's best buddy is in CA so yeah.

I know no one in NY, and the only one person I know got transferred to Hong Kong so that's pretty much useless lol. I was gonna stay with him and now I get my own place! (if I get in)

Well, going to NYU for 4 years you should be able to establish some connections there in the city. That's like almost the entire point!

Exactly! But the parents are paranoid...I'm the first kid going to college, so it's understandable. And home is going to be a 24-hour plane ride away, which is damn far, haha. That's one of the many reasons why I wanna go to NYU and also because of the diversity. People here are so close-minded, my gosh.

24 hours isnt that bad when you really think about it. it's just a day that you could have spent doing normal things, but used to go see your parents. and 24 hours isn't that bad when you've been counting down days since the beginning of november. :)

I'm actually planning to move out to LA after college, cause the film industry's mostly based there. I'm looking forward to the change of pace, though way too many palm trees in LA haha.

NY's gunna be great, you guys are gunna love it. Cause, look no sweat, we'll all be hanging out there togethor in a year. :)

i hope so. that will be so cool :)

Hey guys. I just found this thread today and been reading through, decided to create an account and join in the discussion. I applied ED to NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Hoping to get accepted into CAP21, although I'd be happy just being accepted into Tisch in general. Going crazy waiting for that letter to arrive. I believe their sending them out week after next, so only two weeks to go guys! We should keep each other posted on acceptances and rejections once the time arrives, just like the '12 thread that was made. Anyways, what are you guys all doing to take your mind of the wait?

Haha, isn't it obvious? We do this! Just to update you, 2 acceptances have been reported and I believe 4 LSPs. Good luck to you!

four is a lot.
i wish i could check my mail from here, three states away from my houseeee.

What's an LSP? And 2 acceptances? Aren't they supposed to be sent out second week of December, how is that possible?

LSP stands for Liberal Studies Program. It's basically GSP with a new name.

Yeah they're starting them surprisingly early this year.

Yeah, it's possible. Only some go out then...some go before and some go afterward. Woo!

Aww. Mine will probably go out later. I got an e-mail saying they didn't recieve my high school transcript, so I'm gonna have to send it again on Monday, damn mail. I guess it means they haven't even reviewed my application yet. Oh well.

Ohhh that's frustrating. I had that problem with my scores earlier this month. Not fun, my friend.

I was just reading that thread, from the ED applicants last year. Damn, they all sound so stressed out around 12/15. Crazy, that might be us in a few months...

Haha I found this reading back through the beginning of one of the threads. That IS us now. The time has come.

Such a tight, supportive little community they had going there. We'll have to be sure to do the same here. I think it's important for all of us to be able to freak out and stress together. Call me crazy, but I'm actually looking forward to it.

Haha well it's certainly addicting. Especially for me, since nobody I know personally is applying to NYU, so this is the only place where everybody understands. :)

Yeah it's the same with me. I don't think anybody else in my class is applying to NYU. And I'm like one out of 2 people applying ED in a class of like 45. (Yeah it's a small school, only about 200-300 people.) So everybody's rooting for me, kinda builds the pressure.
