Hello. Im trying to finish up my contract and i have a few questions that you guys can help me out with. The license term is confusing me. Do i put Fall, winter, spring (which seems the most logical) or Summer, fall, winter, spring (which doesnt sound right with summer as a choice.) Just curious, what meal plan did you guys choose?

I can’t wait to attend Pomona, unless Merced offers me a full ride, i will become a bronco next year.

If you are starting after this school year… You would be starting in Fall of 2011 unless you’ve applied for summer classes which are so expensive because you can’t use federal aid on it. I chose the 19 meal plan because it was the best deal. The smaller you go on the meal plan the more you pay per meal. I heard Merced was giving really good financial aid btw

I agree … Fall/Winter/Spring for the contract.

My son chose the 14 meal plan. Mostly because he’s not a big breakfast eater (he’d rather grab a couple of granola bars), and will be coming home most weekends (his girlfriend is here).

Yeah, the fall/winter/spring seemed most logical, thanks for clearing that up for me. Im not exactly sure which will be the best but ill probably go with the 19 meal plan. I tend to eat a lot, even though im super skinny ha.

Pretty good… Since freshmen are required to live on campus and there isn’t enough dorms to accommodate all the incoming freshmen… They just have to offer the spaces to upperclassmen first but most opt out to live off campus… The lady I spoke to from the housing office said I’ll most likely get a suite, but I might have to move into the dorms before I get notified to move out and into an empty suite… All in All whoever wants a suite will most likely get one… They just built some new suite buildings

Nice. So we will have to fill everything out as if we are going to live in the dorms, then they will come to us and ask us if we want to move to the suite? Sounds too easy, i would be expecting to fill out some other application ya know? Im actually really excited to move in to Pomona, where are you from Sassy?

Yep fill everything for the dorms and then they will be notifying freshmen of the available suites…I’m from San Diego and I’m guessing Ur from somewhere in the O.C. :)

Cool, im going to jump into one asap, if i get the chance to… Wow, San Diego! Im guessing your planning on staying on campus all four years right? I wish i could do that, but without much financial aid, i can’t afford it.

I need to visit the campus, I have yet to go. I think I’m more excited about going to pomona than I am about all this high school graduation stuff we have to do. :)

The campus is beyond pretty… If you see it on a weekday you’ll see all the hustle and bustle to class… If you go on the weekend it will be pretty quiet

@Shrinkrap - I vote NO. Actually, I think most of the day is planned for indoors, but we’ll still need our umbrellas for the walks. Pushing my dad in a wheelchair & holding an umbrella will be a new & interesting experience.

@studentengineer - We’re in Temecula. I went to SDSU, taught in SDUSD for a while & my daughter was born in La Mesa. She graduated in December from Point Loma Nazarene & is working full time at the library now. She just got her first apartment in North Park. :-)
