@135pipe @hectorsalamanca just read your responses… thanks for the support! haha. it took a good 72 hours of bawling my eyes out to get over this one… just trying to tell myself that when it came down to it, there were a dozen other kids’ apps sprawled out on the table to take the last few spots, and i just wasn’t one of them. which sucks because when other people on here are saying they’re taking kids with real enthusiasm… I HAD THAT. so much of it!!! haha sorry still hard to let go.

I am sorry you should appeal you never know

@135pipe i was seriously considering it, but honestly, however pathetic this may be, it was a lot for me to go through already. thank god i had feb vacation the next week - i honestly didn’t feel back to myself until this week, practically 2 weeks later. if i had to go into school last week, i wouldn’t have made it. it was very emotionally stressful and physically draining. everybody’s saying it’s for a reason so who knows. my guidance counselor refuses to appeal it? idk why

Really well do it ok you never know

ACCEPTED!!

SAT: 1470 superscored of taking 2 SATs (1010 math and reading)
ACT: 24 superscored highest subsections are math 26, english 22, reading 23, science 25, writing 8
GPA: 4.5
Rank: 5 out of 298
Major: Nutrition
AP Classes: AP Chemistry, AP Statistics, and AP Literature (took these classes to show I want to challenge myself to the schools but didn’t take too much that it was an overload for me!)

I did some sports, leadership positions in national honor society and senior council, was in a good amount of clubs (not just my senior year) and did community service in different projects, organizations and at the YMCA.

My score is definitely not the highest SAT or ACT but I did work hard for that GPA. If you really want to go to a nice university, work hard during your high school years and UF is the result of my hard work! So happy!! Also if you’re a turn around student, who knows, apply to UF to see if you’d get in! I applied to 6 different colleges and was accepted to USF, UNF, FGCU, UF, and Quinnipiac University. It was a little of a pain but it feels great because now I have all the choices, even though I’m definitely going to UF

A UF guidance counselor told me that UF looks all around at your extracurriculars and they determine if this school is the right fit for you.

Good luck to all! <3

@Sunshineb Congrats!
