Hiii!! I’m an international ED applicant and I’m super nervous about the decision, but I guess so is everyone else here… I just wanted to say hi and that my counselor got a request for my quarter grades last night, did anyone else??

I just asked and found out that they asked for my Q1 grades yesterday! I honestly didn’t even expect to still be in the running at this point, so I’m pretty excited to be able to regain some sense of hope…
@reveur Ahhh omg!! Ok so a friend of mine called the Pomona admissions office for the repease date and apparently, they just said that the timeline isn’t clear and decisions will come out before the 15th. Could that mean decisions could possibly not come out tmrw?

What’s the significance of them asking for quarter grades?
Does Pomona usually ask for quarter grades for all students that they are planning on accepting, or just the ones on the cusp of accept/defer?
@Comrod33 @banana777 I think it shows that you’re a borderline applicant maybe? And No, Pomona doesn’t ask for quarter grades from everyone.
I also heard that Pomona requested my first quarter grades yesterday.

No, I don’t know. I believe we may not hear until Tuesday. Pomona didn’t request my grades. Hopefully that means that I’m not on the cusp.

Last year they found out on the friday after the decisions started, hopefully they are able to do that again this year.
ED committee has already finished reviewing everyone yesterday. 30% increase in ED apps from last year apparently. if # of acceptances are the same as last year, the acceptance rate will be ~13.8% (including QB and Posse). Decisions will most likely be released tomorrow at 5 P.M. but there is a small chance they may be pushed back until next week. Good luck to everyone! Admitted students should join the FB Pomona Class of 2020 group!

I know committee is done for sure because you can see when they’re in committee (all the adcom people in one room late at night). the 30% increase is from someone who does a lot of statistics for admissions but is not a formal member of the office, so I’m hesitant to say if that’s the confirmed truth. the last thing is an educated guess given decisions came out on friday at 5 PM last year (PST)
