i was also accepted by checking the portal, but offered admission to the spring 2017 term with enrollment in the washington mentorship program in the fall.

Also the portal has been blocked for me since it shut down so just because you can’t log on doesn’t mean you did not get accepted!

Just tried to log into D’s account on MyAU portal and could not get in. On rt side says AUMail1 unavailable. Techies are looking into it. Anyone else get this message?

Nothing in the mail in CA 
Does anyone know what Self Reported Outs in the Financial Aid letter mean? Also, what is American’s total cost per year? I calculated tuition + fees from the website, but room & board is trickier.
Have they only sent out acceptances or are they sending rejections also?
@kerrycake from my acceptance packet, total cost of attendance for the 2016-2017 year is around $61,110 or something like that. That takes into account tuition, room and board, books, other amenities, etc etc.

Got my acceptance today from California!! $12,000/year dean’s scholarship, which my portal said would happen.

@Lana22 i have a friend at AU and he knows a bunch of people that have done the mentorship program. he says they all had a lot of fun, plus you still take college classes, just not the ones you want to specifically choose. you also get to do an internship anywhere in DC and at the end of the semester, you get 12 credits towards your diploma. you also live on AU campus the entire time. so it actually sounds pretty good
The mail hasn’t come yet here in NY. Waiting. I’m sat at the window watching the mail box. Will keep you all updated.
Update: it’s been 5 minutes and no mail yet. The good news is that I’m getting good practice with my Russian lessons on duolingo while I wait (aka I’m desperately trying to distract myself)
