Congrats on the additional scholarship!

Just saw this thread, I’m currently a sophomore at Pitt (from NY, so I am out of state) and I received a $15k a year. One of my friends told me that the criteria for a scholarship is a 32 on the ACT an the equivalent on the SAT, and being in the top 20% of your HS class or something. I also got into the honors college.
I had a 33 (phew!) and (I think) I was around the top 20%, my school didn’t rank, so not too sure on that. I also applied very early (October 2014, I graduated from HS in 2015) so that may have helped. My roommate freshman year got the chancellors scholarship, and from what he told me, they look for people that are extremely good at/passionate about various fields, including art, graphic design, engineering, neuroscience, etc… and it’s a very time consuming process to get it due to all the interviews. However, he got a full ride + a stipend, so it was definitely all worth it.
I found out I got the scholarship I got with my acceptance letter, it was included in a separate paragraph on the same page. Also, I’m in the engineering school.
