Hi.
As an upcoming freshman, i am worried that i wouldn't get a good schedule.

My orientation takes place on June 27-29th, which is pretty late.

Can anyone tell me what i can do? I've heard that before the semester starts, the students who haven't paid tuition get dropped out of classes and leave spots for classes. Does anyone know what day that might be?
Also, i heard that once i finish the orientation, i can logon weekly and change the schedule. Is that true? Does it have to be a certain day of the week or just any day?

June 27-29 isn’t that late. I went later than that last year and got all the classes I wanted.

Tuition is due August 10, I believe. If you haven’t paid by then, your classes get dropped and you have to try your best to re-register. This leaves spots in classes. Also, I think most people add/drop classes at least once, so that’s another thing that makes it easier to get the classes you want. So far I haven’t had any trouble with registration and I’ve always gotten off all my waitlists.

Also, yes, you get the opportunity to go in and change your schedule after orientation. There are specific times for you to do this; check your RIS (if you’re not sure what I mean by that, just look it up on the UT website, it’s very important).
