Clemson Class of 2025 Admissions

ACT has not released the Superscore report option yet. It was supposed to be released in September but has been pushed back.

@UpstateSC3 I incorrectly referred my son admitted as EA. He was admitted under priority notification- I was referring to priority admission deadline of DEC 1 for decision release by Feb 1 for priority notification. (I thought that was essentially the same as EA, but I guess it’s not exactly?) He was admitted with merit scholarship and told information and details of merit scholarship will follow by Feb 15th. He also applied to the honors college and is awaiting notification from that as well.

Is there any chance of decisions coming out before 2/15??

They came out on February 1st last year. So there’s a chance.

Are they sending emails or just snail mail this year? Does anyone know?

Admissions office told me the applicant would get an email that their was a status decision in their portal and their would go there for the answer.

When I got accepted there was an email saying that my status in my portal has been updated. A week later, I got the official acceptance letter in the mail.

My D21 is OOS and test optional - she was admitted to nursing program in December

Does anyone know how many decisions they’ve released so far?

I haven’t seen anything official, but another parent who seems pretty knowledgeable indicates they historically release ~5% early, and the rest in the big Feb batch. Clemson common data set indicates they admit ~15,000 total, so that would suggest around 750?

From everything I’ve seen, I believe that is correct. The majority of offers will be released mid-Feb.

I had a Clemson sponsored video pop up in my Facebook feed, and if you click on learn more it loads a page that says decisions will be released Feb 15. But that’s President’s Day, so who knows?

I saw something similar to that as well. However I think it’s unlikely they’d release on President’s Day too. It may be too earlier but I think the earliest everyone could know is this week and latest probably February 12th on that Friday. Just guesses

Last year they started mailing out big orange acceptance packets on 2/1 (they posted it to their Instagram account). So… cross your fingers that this year is a repeat of a timely 2/1 mailing. Good luck!!

Unfortunately, this year is unprecedented. It’s hard to know what’s going on; it was easier to find and follow the pattern in previous years. The process is so different with T.O., having a portal, etc. There are also considerably fewer (50%) posts for the class of 2025 overall, so it makes it hard to gauge. Hoping things go well for everyone; keeping fingers crossed everyone hears good news in the next couple weeks.

@user76584930 We’re in the Northeast and I told my son that Clemson’s late decision date is good practice for living in the south as everything moves slower. As opposed to us running around like madmen without a lick of patience among us.

Too funny and true. I moved to the South from the Midwest and even I spent the first three months repeating “patience is a virtue” to myself until I acclimated to the pace. Can’t imagine the difference from the NE .

Very true; we spent 3 decades moving between the Carolinas and the NE, each time we needed time to decompress and adjust. The only exception was Charlotte; it was like living in the NE (with quicker commute times), but then again most everyone was from NY/NJ :joy: Upstate SC has been the slowest pace yet, but it’s been a nice change after 30 years of living the rat race; bonus, the views are spectacular.
