clothing, for guys.

"I dont think Purple Label is trying to hard. All of the other RL stuff is garbage"

haha. Considering that you like prada, gucci and other trendy designers, it'd make perfect sense that you don't like some of the more traditional stuff RL designs. For me, I prefer the kind "grandpa wears when he goes sailing on the yacht". I guess I just have a more conservative taste. :)

seriously, you are the first person I've ever heard who wears a trendy blazer everywhere, power to you.

dantheman: Notice the facebook groups about tools getting dressed up to go to class. They are talking about YOU.

hahahahahahahaahahaah

Hey. I'm a guy. I'll be attending Princeton in the fall. I don't have a clearly defined style, but I guess it borders on preppy. I don't buy label clothes (but I'm open to try new things). This summer I'm thinking about buying some new clothes. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

-Jon

maybe Carhartt, dickies, levies

I live in SoCal. Some guys wear A&F, Hollister, and Lacoste and they are definitely not gay. It's all a matter of personal preference. Just my two cents.

"dantheman: Notice the facebook groups about tools getting dressed up to go to class. They are talking about YOU."

Hey, there's NOTHING wrong with dressing up for classes. It's just personal preference. Some people want to look really nice....
I don't dress up for classes, but I make sure I look presentable.

i dont see anything wrong with dressing up for class either. when i wear nice clothes i feel better about myself. people can sense when you feel good about yourself, especially girls. it is all personal preference.

no they are gay. any man who dresses with fasion designers is a woman. if ya ask me.

a man who tries to look pretty is not a man, she is a woman.

thanks for those wise words of advice UB-Vinny77. Hey, do "ya" wanna go cow tippin' later with me? jeez, get a life, people should be able to dress the way they want. if girls like men who look nice, so be it. there's nothing gay about it.

The people on this forum are mad funny. I dont really care whether or not you think of me as a tool or gay or wtvr. All I know is that my clothes look really good on me, and the girls seem to think so too. And I am going to quote a movie for the people that would call a nicely dressed man gay "The only reason why youre calling me gay is because you want to Fk me." I have been with many many girls and never with any guys, so it's all good. Theres nothing wrong with wearing ** that looks good and actually fits. - DAN

If dantheman222 is telling the truth about himself (IE tons of girls and whatnot) I would have to agree. Girls love a sharply dressed man. I mean its like if there was a fire, A+F, abercrombie and hollister would be like putting oil on a fire-only works if the fire is hot enough. Polo and lacoste is like putting dry leaves-it doesnt take much, and the clothes he's talking about is like putting gasoline mixed with nitro glycerine, you get a small fire very fast or you just simply make your own big explosion. I think that the time and getting made fun of by oter guys once in awile is worth the ladies. Id have to agree, its simple dress awsome and you get ladies.

Or not be a trend whore and still have an amazing hot girlfriend... either one. =)

Hmm... well I use to be a model (between when I was 3-12..), and I am starting it up again on the side of college, meaning my hair will be dyed slightly (highlights, maintaining the roots actually) And I try to dress well (not really preppy, just nicely)

In most peopels perspective, is this considered bad?

Tooya: How long will you take to "get ready" for class?

wait, dantheman, how old are you... because if your a senior in high school, which you probably are, you sure couldnt have been with "many many girls", im just trying to help you out so you dont make an ass of your self by being "that guy" who shows up to class in a suit... sweater and khakis or button up oxford is fine but not a suit

neverborn: Maybe about 20 mins? I take like a 10 min shower (im really slow in the morning), put on clothing that I think looks good, then just put on gel...

eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww how can u buy clothes that other people have worn it breaches health and safety u kno

Hey. Does anyone else have suggestions for what I should buy this summer. I'll be attending Princeton and I'm wondering if I should go for the "preppy" look to fit in or to explore other areas. I really am excited to try something new. My current style probably is closest to preppy but it's not hard-core preppy or anything else. So, I'm hoping to define myself in some way. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

APDoolittle, my suggestion is J.Crew.
If you want to look like a classic ivy league/define yourself clearly, go for J.Press or the Andover Shop. it's basically, jacket and tie everyday.
