At the time of application we were required to pay $50 as housing deposit. Does that deposit holds your position in line for housing? Does the housing also depend on when you pay the enrollment deposit?
Here’s what I got from housing when I asked this very thing last month “He does not need to rush his admission decision. He has until May 1st to make his decision and it will not affect his housing placement. Contracts are offered in application date order. If we start offering contracts and he hasn’t accepted, we’ll temporarily skip him and then continue to check every time we offer more contracts. Room selection doesn’t occur until June–well after the May 1st admission deadline. Once he receives and completes his contract, he’ll be able to enter his preferences. Once room selection time comes in June, timeslots are given in housing application date order so he’ll still have his same October priority date.”
