I just got an email inviting me to the BC College Fellows Program. I’m not really sure what it is, though. Does anyone have any experience with this/know anything about it?

I'm not sure what that is. Were you invited into the Presidential Scholars Program as well? Either way, it looks like a good deal. D was accepted into BC's Honors Program. I wonder if it is a perk of the program. I will have to ask her if she got the email too.

According to the website, only 12-15 students each year are in the Colege Fellows Program. My S was invited as well, but we thought it strange that he was not considered for the Presidential Scholarship. Perhaps this is an attempt to reel in those outstanding Honors Program kids who might not have made the Presidential Scholarship cut? It looks like you get some perks and special attention, but no scholarship $.

"The program seeks to aid the Fellows in
* choosing majors, courses and undertaking research opportunities,
* selecting internships and foreign study programs,
* and preparing and applying for
o student/faculty research assistantships
o advanced study grants;
o and national and international fellowships such as the Beinecke, the Fulbright, the Truman, and even the Rhodes."

The thing is that most of the benefits of being a College Fellow are opened to all students. I, and many other, got ton of e-mails about those programs mentioned above. I don't see how this program is exclusive. What function does it serve? I know it's a new program because no one in my Honors class knows of it or knows anyone who are doing it.
