I don’t think a 3-loss Oregon would deserve an at-large bid. If any Pac-10 team is going to get an at-large bid, it’s still probably USC, sad as that may be.

Anyway, Stanford getting to a BCS game pretty much hinges on either a huge jump in the polls tomorrow (close to the top 15) or Arizona beating Oregon then losing to USC.

I had the same thought (no BCS for 3 loss Oregon) but I have to believe that the Pac-10 deserves two BCS bowl slots. The Pac-10 is the strongest it’s been in ages and arguably the best conference in college football right now.

Also, it’s still up in the air by far if Oregon wins out, not with two very good teams left. Like I said, there’s just too much parity.

Even going to USC, there’s no way we’re going to a BCS bowl game. The only way would be if every other team self imploded in the final weeks of the season. And we know that won’t happen.

Ohio State does the exact same thing every year - it is Tressel’s signature.

I think Oregon wins the Pac-10.

BCS:
Rose: Ohio State vs. Oregon
Fiesta: Iowa vs. Boise State
Sugar: Alabama/Florida vs. Cincinnati
Orange: TCU vs. Georgia Tech
National Championship: Alabama/Florida vs. Texas

^ I actually said that they had “blown out” two ranked teams, not “beaten.” There’s a difference, hops_scout, in case you didn’t know.

Texas frankly looked bad against Oklahoma, which has since dropped out of the top 25. BYU and Utah, in almost anyone’s opinion, are at least equal to Oklahoma… TCU crushed them both.

That being said, I am NOT completely convinced that TCU should be ranked higher than Texas at this point. My exact words were “might be better.” So calm the ■■■ down.

I hope Clemson has a chance at a rematch with TCU. We only lost to them 14-10 earlier in the season, and should’ve won were it not for a pass that was tipped and caught for a touchdown, our field goal kicker missed a field goal in the rain and forced us to go for a touchdown on the last drive.

Oklahoma’s not overrated. Does anybody really think they’re any good?

USC at #13 is a bit of a joke. All they’ve done so far is limp past Ohio State on the road and take advantage of Berkeley’s annual callapse. Maybe they win the next two then beat Pitt in the Sun Bowl, but it shouldn’t surprise anyone if they lose a couple more games.

Oregon State is going to pull off a win at Autzen Stadium, sending Stanford to the Rose Bowl… revenge for last year where Oregon beat Oregon State at Reser Stadium and let USC go to the Rose Bowl.

Before I did the rankings, I thought USC would be a lot lower. But two of their losses have come to teams higher than them, and they DID beat Ohio St. I took head-to-head matchups into account as much as I could.

And I can totally see them losing 2-3 more games.

Simply put, I think TCU has accomplished more, and been more impressive than Texas. Perhaps Texas will beat Nebraska to win the Big-12 and I’ll change my mind, but until then, I would pick TCU over Texas on a neutral field.

USC at #13 is probably a bit high, but definitely they should be a bit higher than the 21/22 ish they are in the human polls. At least swap them with #20 oregon state, people, we did beat them! :)

USC has a bye week, which will be important as nearly everyone up front on defense is hurt in some way.

EDIT: Maybe 13 isn’t so high. The BCS computers rank USC at #14.
