<p>I don’t necessarily believe that the problem stems from the fact that she’s a girl. It seems to me that she truly and legitimately is just a crappy friend. I think that a crappy friendship or two is inevitable in the lives of many, and you should do whatever you can to truncate this friendship with her immediately. From what you have stated so far, she does not seem to reciprocate your caring attitude towards her, and this alone defeats the whole purpose of a friendship.</p>
<p>Eh, you can have annoying friends of either gender.</p>
<p>I actually think people of opposite sex usually get along better as friends. Maybe because it’s sort of impolite to go off on Member of Opposite Sex who’s your friend but not your dating partner, lol.</p>
<p>Plus, a lot of guys might be friendly towards their female friends, because they might secretly want to screw them. Just sayin’, lol.</p>
