Depending on what GPA I end up with after my sophomore year at my current college, I will most likely be applying for transfer to the College of the Holy Cross, University if Miami (Florida), and University of Connecticut. I am anticipating that admission to Holy Cross will be the most difficult, based on statistics and what people have told me. As for U of Miami, freshman admission straight out of high school is hard, but according to their transfer admissions website, transferring in seems significantly easier. They said on their website that in order to be a "competitive applicant", you should have a GPA of 3.4 or higher. A 3.4 seems rather low for a top school like Miami. What is also nice about this school, is the fact that if you are applying with 30 college credits or more, you do not need to provide them with a high school transcript, or even any SAT/ACT test scores. You will be assessed primarily on your College transcripts and GPA. And I'm not sure about Uconn. The admissions website makes it seem like their pretty selective for transfer applicants. They said that in order to be eligible for transfer to the Uconn school of business, you must have a GPA of at least a 3.3, which I'm sure I'll surpass by the time it comes time to apply, but still, it seems kind of high for a bare minimum requirement. So, if by chance I am admitted to all three schools, which would you choose to pursue a business/finance degree? Thanks.
