So I have been slacking in my so far 3 years at my school and now for math, I am being limited to "Analytical Math" which is a pointless class that i refuse to take. Algebra 1-2 concepts etc, I have taken Algebra 2/Trig, Geometry, Trigonometry and I tested into Calculus at a community college. So if I took Calculus at a community college would colleges see it as as a fourth year of math, or would i have to take Analytical Math? My school will not let me take it as a class for high school credit, as my school has a calculus class, but I don't want to take a class that is a step down from my current math class. Thus i would take Calculus for College Credit.

Bumping it up.

Calc at the CC would count as your 4th year of math. Just send the colleges you’re applying to your CC transcript in addition to your HS one.

How much math do you need in order to graduate from your HS? If four years are required, you may need to take some kind of math there your senior year - even if it is a course that you are convinced you will hate.

My highschool does not require, 4 years only the state mandated 3 years. I figure I am taking Calculus and Analytical Geometry 1 for 5 credit hours this spring, this could count as a full year math class right? It is only 7 weeks long.

Ask the counselors at the CC whether this is considered a one year course or not. Under the semester system 6 credits is usually one year. Under the quarter system 9 credits is usually one year. However things may be different where you are.
