Colleges with best/worst names

Worst: Kutztown University of Pennsylvania - sounds like its trying to rip off of UPenn, plus the first word makes me think of the word "klutz."

Fordham University - I mean, it's abbreviated "FU."

Also, I don't know if this is true but there is a rumor that Sam Houston State College used to be known as the Sam Houston Institute of Teaching (think about what the acronym would be).

Good name - Frostburg State University. I don't know why, but "Frostburg" just sounds really cool, like some sort of magical city in the sky or something.

It's funny. I applied to Clarkson University because I liked the name.

Skidmore- sounds like a need to change my underwear.

And how about this one: Indiana University at Purdue University-Indianapolis. Come on, they even play division one basketball. good thing they haven't made the tournament in the past few years. Imagine writing that name to advance to the next round, could you even fit it on the line?

So some genius came up with IUPUI for short, but it looks like an Indian tribe upon first glance.

Actually, it's not Indiana University AT Purdue University--it's Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. And even wordier is Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Worth (IUPFW). The schools are a joint venture between IU and Purdue.
