1 minute here. Good Luck everybody!

i’m scared to look…

Accepted!!!

rejected =

deferred.
it took a little while for that to sink in.
:(

rejected :(

are any of you sending your AP scores to the school…or you’re just going to inform the school by what you submitted on the common app?

Friends Stats:

Rejected

SAT 2220
8 AP’s, 4 4’s and 4 5’s
4.6GPA UW and 4.0W

Thats insane guys :(

Just submitted my application.

My son applied, it is one of his top choices.

I haven’t taken an APs in my high school years bc my school doesn’t offer it. However, seeing the number of accepted students who took APs is making me wonder whether I should consider taking Bio and Chem this year. Would informing the school that I’m self-studying 2 APs give my application a boost at all?

^ columbia will review your app holistically and in context, so the fact that you didn’t take any AP’s cuz ur school doesn’t offer it will not hurt you

but on the side, if you’re taking these AP classes at ur local college, or even self studying it, will add a boost to ur app by showing the admission officers that you push urself academically

soo when do we hear?

probably late march. the latest day they’re allowed to notify is april 1, i believe

how do we hear?
do we have to check the status of our applications?
or is it by email/mail?
