@Pandabear101 so do you not see the portal page at all? My portal works fine; I just cant see the checklist of requirements anymore.
My schoolās college counselor also confirmed that the results would be released on the 10th. Does anyone know if weāll receive our aid packages then as well?

@magicalcanadian Oh I didnāt know that! But does that mean that itās harder to get in if you list that as your major? I listed it as my third option anyways so it doesnāt really matter that much I hope ā¦
@mihirt19 haha sure! My grades are from a Dutch system though so you canāt really compare them but Iāll add my classrank and SAT and other stuff. How do you wanna compare? I havenāt used this site very much so I donāt know how everything works

@valerieholland If youāre talking about Financial Engineering, Iām pretty sure that you have to maintain a 3.4 as an Industrial Engineering major through two years to even APPLY to become a FinEng major
@PilotKhyle I thought you had to maintain a 3.8 GPA, I might be wrong but anyways, it is extremely hard to get into the department.

Does anyone know the relative importance Columbia places on their essays (supplemental essay importance vs. Common App essay importance)?
@BostonBrotha Iād like to say that they are both really important, as the Common App essay reveals something important about you as a person while the Columbia essays reveal your interest towards Columbia. In my opinion, I think the Columbia essays may be weighted a little bit more because Columbia wants to see that youāve done your research and have thought carefully about why you want to go to Columbia and major in XXX.
This wait is killing me. I want to know my decision, but at the same time, I donāt.
