I know they were behind on processing some documents so maybe they pushed the date back??
Why would Columbia send letters to select Guidance Counselors? I’m curious as my GC did not receive one.
I’m not sure, in my case I’m from a fairly small school in Europe so maybe they have extra assistance for GC’s here.
does anyone know if it is the 12th or the 8th for sure?
Hey guys, I just got matched to Columbia yesterday through Questbridge.
The match notification letter contained this:
“Due to Ivy League regulations, Columbia is prohibited from issuing a formal decision letter before the Early Decision notification date of December 12. You can check your decision online and expect to receive favorable news on that day.”
Hope this helps!
@lukastiel Congrats!! That’s awesome!
I haven’t sent in my first quarter transcript. Is this a really big problem?
@lukastiel Congrats!!! You are going to have a relaxing December!!!
@lukastiel I read your stats and high school achievements on QB forum. You are truly amazing. You should be very proud of yourself!!!
@lukastiel Congrats!! :)>-
Congrats, best of luck !!
asjdkf I just found this page to figure out when EDs come and it turned me into a bundle of nerves.
I know it’s looking like results are out on the 12th, but does anyone have any insight as to when the results are actually solidified with the admissions committee?
did they download the early decision agreements on common app? mine just says submitted
same I thought my counselor did but she didn’t…
Perhaps it is a good indicator if somebody from your school got in by whether or not your counselor received a letter.
Do we get an email saying whether we got in or do we have to check through our Columbia account?
I think some high schools are more “connected” with the ivies, so that may be why some counselors received letters about their Early Decision date.
We get an email but it also probably shows up on our account
I got an email from the Columbia financial aid office on Thursday (Dec. 1) reminding me to submit my documents (even though I already submitted prior to the deadline). Did this happen to anyone else?
