I received the gap edge program email also, but didn’t everyone receive it?
It says “your name was received from the College Board” so it has no connection with admission whatsoever.
Yeah that GAP program sounds like an expensive program anyone can do or at least anyone that can afford to do it. it’s not a GAP program like at Princeton where you can defer your Freshman year and they pay to send you somewhere to do a service program for 9 months and then you start Princeton the fall after you were intended to enroll.
To all those who received scholar notices, did anyone receive an Egleston Scholar likely letter?
I received a likely letter in my email on friday evening. Should I expect a letter in the mail soon also?
I’m of course nervous of what to make of it and don’t want to tell myself I have a place until I receive an official acceptance, especially as I was very surprised to receive one. Has anybody heard of anybody in the past receiving one incorrectly, or receiving one and then not being admitted?

@vbbbg67 Lol caaaaalm dooooown…Congrats on getting a likely letter and just know that you are most likely going to get an acceptance. I have never heard of anyone getting a likely and not getting admitted. The reason for getting a likely is because you are in the top (insert %) of all applicants and they really want you to attend!
@vbbbg67 After I received the email, I also got a letter in the mail as well. I got another package from FedEx after I got my scholar notification. So, expect mail from Columbia in the next week or so.
