Coming Out in High School

their lifestyle bothers me becuse it is determental to society. What they do in the "privacy of someone's home" does affect America, and the world. by having heterosexual sex, there is a high possibility that they will contract HIV which leads to AIDS (which there is no cure for)

If you're implying that gay people are more likely to pass on HIV, that is completely false. When HIV first came to the attention of the general public, it was widely believed that only gay men could pass it on. However, this has since been proved false. Heterosexual people have the same likelihood of contracting HIV as homosexual people; it's all a matter of whether the people protect themselves.

What part of their "lifestyle" is "detrimental to society"?

wearing a condom does not protect you from STD or HIV/AIDS. and my mistake homo/heterosexuals can and do pass it on.

However, how?

st8 people pass it on through unfithfulness.

hays, by the ripping of the anus.

OMG- determental to society...because of AIDS...oh please

And, gee, straights have Aids, and all sorts of STDs...and straights murder people, steal, rob, rape, do drugs and a whole lot of wonderful stuff

Straight people get divorced all the time, have extra marital affairs, beat their kids, kill others because they are gay, and are such good role models and live such perfect lives

How does being gay hurt society? I just don't get it. One disease does NOT destroy a society. Society's treatment of others can though.

name a gay socity that thrives to this day.

Yeah, and straight people never ever have anul sex, what planet are you from?

Gays are IN society...always have been always will be...there has never been a straight society, by the way

you did not answer my question Mrs.

Looks like the health curriculum needs to be reviewed for accuracy.

In my opinion, ignorance and hatred are the most detrimental for society as a whole.

Condoms are not foolproof anti-STD and HIV devices, but using them greatly reduces the risk of contracting the diseases.

It may be true that anal sex is more likely to transmit HIV, but anal sex with a condom is still safer than the unprotected sex that goes on all over Africa even as I'm typing this. Does that mean those African lifestyles are even worse than gasp GAYS'?

Also, straight people can pass on the virus whether or not they're being faithful to their partners. If you're in a monogamous relationship or even married, and you have HIV and don't practice safe sex, then no amount of moral fiber in the world is going to protect your partner from contracting the disease. There's even a great chance that you'll pass it on to your children as well. Maybe it's even better for gays to be the ones pass on AIDS because at least the only victims are consenting adults and not children with no say in the matter, as no procreation is possible in homosexual relations.

sodomy.. ever head of nambl?

a) It's NAMBLA, get your facts right.
b) Did you hear of it on South Park, by any chance?
c) When did it become okay to stereotype an entire group of people based on a few extreme examples?
d) Do you have any idea how many equally perverted heterosexual groups exist?
e) Why is that relevant to anything anyone else has said, or even that you've said?

just curious, should they be protected both groups?

No... for the reason that NAMBLA promotes paedophilia. What gays do is between 2 consenting adults.

WOAH are u saying NAMBLA is protected under the law?

Wabash, good grief, NAMBLA has nothing to do with gays...and I did answer your question...Gays are in every society...so every successful and every unsuccessful society has straights and gays....that is how it has been for all of time...

And wabash, learn to read the answers before you ask a question

noone should ever. ever. discriminate against gays

it's ignorant to think that being gay is a "choice"

vintor I'm not discriminating aganist gays, just their lifestyle, there is a diffrence. citygirlsmom: sorry. i will read more carefully next time.

Again, I have to ask, what do you mean by "their lifestyle"? I would imagine that gay people lead lives that are very similar to yours or mine.

side question: where do are morals come from? no, im not negating ur question.
