<p>Thinking ahead and taking a look at the Common App preview, I see that there are very few lines available on which to list any academic honors. Hate to attach a resume, as it's been reported that many admissions officers loathe them, but I don't see any way around it.</p>
<p>So the question is: Is it better for an applicant to attach a complete (concise) supplemental "resume" sheet, so all the important stuff is in one place? Or is a sheet that contains only the additional stuff that didn't fit on the Common App preferable?</p>

<p>bookmobile, the Common App usually allows 3-5 lines for honors. Initially you see only one line but actually can continue to add new honors. Remember too that honors should be substantial honors (i.e. Girls’ State, National Merit Finalist, etc.) and not smaller honors such as math student of the month. However, if the Common App does not provide enough room, students can certainly upload a concise resume (should be no more than one page) which includes both information provided in the Common App and any additional info that didn’t fit. We do not loathe resumes if they provided substantive information that the Common App cannot capture.</p>
