Hi, I just found this site and was wondering if anyone could give me a little more insight.

I want to transfer to Georgetown as a Junior next Fall. In HS I had only a 1000 SAT score, and as of now, I have a 4.0 GPA with 58 college credits behind me. I am also a candidate for the " Georgetown Preferred Consideration Program" that Georgetown offers. I feel as if I have all of the credentials to be a Georgetown student, with the exception of a silly SAT score thats mainly used for HS seniors. Any thoughts, anyone?

Hi, so many people havent heard of it. Its offered from the president of GU to two Northern Virginia Community College Students each year, there is no money value involved per say, but I see it as a exclusive opportunity to be admitted and attend. What do you think?

i know of the program ur talking of theres a similar one for my cc in ny and its def a good idea. u might want to call g-town and ask if the january SAT date is too late to be received in time, and if its not too late, retake the test. i think the registration deadline is the 28th of december or something. good luck.

It depends on your score. Theoretically, Georgetown does not want you to do anything, but taking the SAT, and getting a higher score, will boost your chances.

I meant that Georgetown may not consider SAT scores that are taken after the applicant has graduated high school. Call them to see if they would frown upon what they might see as trickery.
