How competitive is the music therapy program at FSU? I'm considering going for either that, or Speech Pathology, but I read that you have to audition to even get into the music program and while I can play piano and guitar, I am nowhere near qualified as a musical prodigy or even super super talented which I know can hurt my chances.

Any opinions? They're very much appreciated.
(Oh, PS. I haven't decided if I am definately going to FSU but it's looking like I might be. I still have to go visit it in the summer :) I'll be getting my AA from a community college in the spring :-D)

Thanks again!

I have no idea how tough it would be - but these links may help you find someone at the school who can give you a real answer.

FSU School of Music: http://www.music.fsu.edu/academic.htm

Music Therapy Program: http://www.music.fsu.edu/music-therapy.htm

The Admissions website says this:

Applicants interested in majoring in music; dance; the BFA degree program in theatre; motion picture, television, and recording arts; or nursing should contact the academic department directly.

Hope this helps!

Thanks so much :) I really appreciate it. You do seem to be the frontrunner for all of the FSU knowledge on this board and that's great :)
