can you finish up some classes before you transfer in the Fall?

or can you complete the missing ones once you arrive at the college?

Yes, but nothing you plan to do over the summer is considered in admissions decisions. So as far as admissions offices are concerned, those classes you’ll take the summer before your fall entry don’t exist. Therefore, if your CC has those prereqs you should take them before summer (if you want to get admissions “credit” for taking them).

How about if your already in?

Answers to sophie and Whatami: Yes and yes. You guys can take summer courses. I know both UCB and UCLA have them. I’m not so sure about the rest, but definitely check out the other UC’s and see for yourself.

emil, i think they’re asking about ccc summer courses for pre-req’s. i might be wrong, but i was wondering the same thing if anyone knew

Oh my bad. Thanks beowulf! It depends on the UC. Some allow that and others don’t. They’d have to check each UC to figure which allow that.

@ Whatamidoing8: you can finish prereqs though once you arrive at the UC…if they admit you without it in the first place.

yep! asking about CC. does anyone know if UCDavis allows taking classes over summer @ CC?
