Confused about how transferring works

I hope this is the right place to ask about this, I’m thinking about taking biology but I’m not sure what my options will be after these 2 years.

With a biology associates degree can I transfer to a uni and then take on toxicology or pharmacy for two years and get a bachelors on one of those? Or do I have to continue with biology?

It doesn’t really matter that much what your community college ‘major’ was. What matters much more is that you took the courses that the university you are transferring to, wants to see as preparation for your Bachelors degree major. Some universities want to see a completed Arts & Sciences Associates degree, which shows that you completed the distribution requirements for that degree, a list that ought to be quite similar to the requirements for the Bachelors degree.

Look online, or talk to an advisor in the department of the university where you hope to transfer. They can tell you what the require from community college students in order to successfully transfer.

Many pharmacy programs, in California, require that you have a bachelor’s degree. That means you transfer to a 4 year college, graduate, and then apply to a school that has a pharmacy program. There are some schools that have a bachelor’s/master’s program, but you need to investigate these on your own.
