I have to say that I truly appreciate how well Case Western handles the entire application process. And wonder why other schools can't do the same.

1) No charge to apply - Let's face it, many schools use undergrad application fees as a fundraiser. Look at Penn State - 90,000 applicants at $50 a pop. That is $4.5 million in revenue.

2) Early Action - not every kid is ready to commit to just one school as Early Decision forces. And most families need to know what the financial aid package is going to be before saying yes to a school.

3) Estimated Financial Aid with Admission Decision - This is outstanding. It is great to know you got into a school, but waiting until March/April to know if you can afford it is awful!

And finally, that was a very nice acceptance package that came in the mail. I know my son appreciated it.
