I have to say that I truly appreciate how well Case Western handles the entire application process. And wonder why other schools can't do the same.

1) No charge to apply - Let's face it, many schools use undergrad application fees as a fundraiser. Look at Penn State - 90,000 applicants at $50 a pop. That is $4.5 million in revenue.

2) Early Action - not every kid is ready to commit to just one school as Early Decision forces. And most families need to know what the financial aid package is going to be before saying yes to a school.

3) Estimated Financial Aid with Admission Decision - This is outstanding. It is great to know you got into a school, but waiting until March/April to know if you can afford it is awful!

And finally, that was a very nice acceptance package that came in the mail. I know my son appreciated it.

I agree and the personalized post scripts were a nice touch as well. I was also musing over the fact that CRWU gave all infor upfront while most colleges take until March. She did point out that the smaller private schools may be better positioned to do this which may well be the case (no pun intended).

I also agree! Wonderful professionalism and efficiency during the Case Admission process. The package they mailed was impressive and the personalized p.s. added a unique human touch to the acceptance. They also went out of their way to arrange for D to meet with a professor during our visit last summer.

Case Western Reserve has been a class act every step of the way. I love that a live person answers the phone, the thank you note from our tour guide and the free t-shirt which my son will proudly wear as it is his top safety/match. We are fond of saying “Case is the place”.
