Congressional Page Program

Hey guys.. I recently got accepted to be a US House Page (for those of you who actually know what it is, as it seems it is not widely known)... (if you dont know, pageprogram.house.gov gives all the info)

Anyway, I've heard from my counselor that this is a reallllly good addition to an application... And i'm hoping she's right..

So basically what i'm asking is:

If I have good, but not the best, stats for an Ivy, would this seal the deal? I know that's kinda a long shot but there's only 70 of us so I can see where it could make a difference..

I have a 2120 SAT and my rank is top 10%.... Also, I have a legacy at Cornell (Dad went to CAS)... I wasnt planning on making this a chance thread, because honestly I dislike them, but I guess this is what it became !!! oh well.. anyway, would this help for applying to my top 2 choices, Cornell and Yale...?!?! Thankssss!!

Hey! Yeah, I’m the one you just commented about on Yale/Chicago/Penn admission chance. And yeah, I just got the official nomination too! I’m majorly pumped. And yes, I think that this IS STELLAR on our application sheets. (I’ll probs apply poly sci major too like you said on my thread). Anyway, I was wondering what you know about the actual House Page School itself, because I heard that they don’t offer AP courses, and all of the courses they offer I’ve already taken. (they offer math only up to precal! $#%#$!) do you think that this would hurt my/your application if I took all independent studies corresponding with my teachers?
