I just got an email from a girl from the squash team, I didnt apply as a recruit but I told them on my app that I would like to play squash. The coach asked me to fill out the recruit form they have and I did.

Now a girl from the team just emailed me, she described the team and how happy she is and told me if I had any questions she would be happy to answer.
Is that a good sign? or routine?
thanks

I would say it’s a good sign but also part of the recruiting process. Things like this are commonly done by sports teams. You must remember the final say comes from the admissions department. But in any case, it could be a good omen for you. Good luck.

I received a note from one of the Bryn Mawr coaches but it was about 4 days after I applied so I don’t know if there are flags that are set if you have certain things on your application.

As a current student of MHC who has played a varsity sport in the past. It is a good sign you have been contacted, but it is also part of the recruiting process. I would take advantage of this contact with a potential teammate and ask her questions. It would also probably be beneficial to do an overnight stay with a member of the team if you are interested.
