I wouldn’t hold my breath for tomorrow, if I were you.
If you’ll focus on the school academic calendar more than the absolute dates, I believe you’ll notice that the CV announcements tend to come out at the end of VU’s spring break, which was 3/1-3/9 in 2014, and 2/28-3/8 in 2015.
This line of logic makes sense, as I suspect the evaluation teams use the early part of the school break to organize and solidify their decisions, then send them out and enjoy a weekend before school reconvenes.
This year’s break is 3/5-3/13. So, date-wise, it’s later. My money says the email goes out 3/11/2016.
I want to know because even though they send out at end of spring break, there is a chance they send out on the first Friday of March as that happens to be consistent also
@DonkeyKong466 , go back to post #77 and #87. If you look through the different posts you can find many answers rather than making a duplicate post. Best of luck.
@ShouldBeWorking I saw it. I’m saying that if it’s a trend, it’s probably a recent one. At least I’d be quite surprised if many Spring Breaks started in February.
Many colleges try to time them so kids are not in school, so mass chaos doesn’t ensue, etc. someone told a story about how one day they released UT Austin decisions at lunch and Texas public schools were a mess.
Posting this again as a reference since there are many questions on the timing of notifications.
DS14 received his CV notification email on 3/7/14, Friday at around 2pm CST. The UV spring break that year was 3/1/14 to 3/9/14.
In 2015, email came out on 3/6/15, Friday and spring break was 2/28/15 to 3/8/15.
The emails didn’t always go out on a Friday. Back in 2013, spring break was 3/2/13 to 3/10/13 and email was out on 3/5/13, Tuesday.
This year’s spring break is 3/5/16 to 3/13/16.
Not sure if this information helped tame nervous energy.
