@jordan6688 no I wouldn’t worry about it. I doubt they care it was just 1 day, they probably didn’t even start looking at our apps until April. Cornell isn’t that type of a school where they are strict about that type of stuff.
Honestly, looking at the college confidential Cornell transfer statistics (a fairly small sample size), there did not seem to be a clear trend of if one week meant more or less acceptances than any other week. Even “rejection week” had a good deal of acceptances, and so called “Acceptance weeks” had just as many rejections as other weeks.
Basically, we will find out if we get in when we find out, there is no point speculating if finding out one week is better or worse than finding out any other week.
@ILRie18 is absolutely right. I’m expecting everyone who will be accepted next Tuesday. Next to next Tuesday Rejected…and May all over the place.
Past threads can back up that theory. It also makes sense from an admissions perspective.
has anyone tried transeval.cals.cornell.edu for CALS yet?
Phew, all of my materials have been checked off and my application has finally been forwarded to the admissions staff for review
Still not, tbh I hate Cornell at this point rolls eyes
Still no high school transcript. Sent electronically January 4th.
@mjr2013 I’m missing my HS transcript and I sent it about the same time!!! Makes me feel better xD
And my application is officially off for review! Preparing myself for imminent rejection. : ^ )
Mine got sent for review as well…
for the transeval.cals.cornell.edu, on Tuesday it said “Our records show you are not an accepted student yet.” And yesterday it changed to Welcome!! Your Accepted major:___ What does this mean?
Welcome
Your Major:
If you have any questions regarding the major you were accepted to, please contact CALS Admissions by email at cals_admissions@cornell.edu or by phone at 607.255.7688.
The Courses you have taken at your previous institution(s) have been evaluated carefully within the context of a CALS Degree. The link below will direct you to your preliminary credit evaluation. Course work currently in progress has not been evaluated. Once a final transcript is received indicating grades of C or better, the course work is eligible for further evaluation into the CALS Distribution requirements.
Your preliminary credit evaluation evaluates your college degree requirements (not your major requirements). A course can be applied to only 1 distribution requirement. Courses that are listed can be used to fulfill both Major requirements and College graduation requirements. If you are concerned about how your course work will transfer towards your major requirements you need to consult with your department advising coordinator. If you have questions after reviewing your credit evaluation, please feel free to email cals-studentservices@cornell.edu.
College credit earned while in high school (this includes all credits earned prior to earning a high school diploma or equivalent) will need further documentation before they can be accepted. Your credit award will be finalized upon your enrollment in CALS and receipt of your final transcript. You must receive grades of C or better for all your courses to be eligible for transfer into CALS.
If you have AP credit, you must send an official copy of your AP score report to Cornell for the credits to be awarded to your record. AP Credits will not appear on your preliminary credit evaluation, however you can view our AP chart to see what scores may earn you credit.
You are allowed to transfer a maximum of 60 credits.
Transfer Credit Evaluation
AppID: -----
Our records do not show you as an accepted student in CALS.
That’s what shows up for me
@VaishS For me, everything is the same except for the highlighted region. Mine says “No transfer credit evaluation is available”
@dchn Edit, read too quickly! It means you’re in if your name and your major show up. Sorry for freaking people out! :’)
Does mine indicated that i’m not going to be accepted or just that they haven’t looked at my app yet? Nervous now
Just got my checklist all checked off! Did it take few days before it was sent to review for those who got it sent?
@VaishS You said your application hadn’t been forwarded for review yet. : ^ ) They just haven’t reviewed yours yet! No worries!
@jhong0811 Yes, it took about two days!
It’s been a week since my checklist has been completed but I still don’t see my application being sent for review… so nervous!!
