Cornell Fall 2017 Transfer

@lexluther96 Sorry I don’t know. I didn’t even know about the CALS one until today when a friend sent it to me

Sophomore Transfer @Infin13
I’m so scared. It’s been a week or so since my application was forwarded, and my transeval still shows “Our records do not show you as an accepted student in CALS.” :’(

Hello…I’m new here.
Does anyone know of a direct way to contact admissions to let them know that I will be completing the rest of my prereqs this summer? I’m applying to CALS and they really emphasize having the required coursework done before applying. I read somewhere else that you could indicate this on your common app, but it’s too late for that. How can I get a hold of them? I don’t want this to affect my decision.

@doctork mine says the same thing on that site, too. lets hope that they are still reviewing our applications. fingers crossed!!

Where did you see that it was sent to be reviewed? All I see now is that all my documents were received.

My app has finally been sent for review

@VaishS No worries. Thanks anyway! It sounds like the system is indicating that you’re in though, right??

@DrRich at the very bottom under test scores and all the requirements (which for me are obviously all checked off).

I SAW IT! Thank you!!

@doubleS CALS emphasizes that all applicants should have completed all the required coursework or have them in progress when submitting the applications.

@doctork Do you happen to know when they will be releasing decisions?

@DrRich I think they said starting on April 18th?
It’s all rolling decisions, so no telling. Generally between that date and sometime late May or early June though.

@doctork Ouch. A friend of mine got his decision last year by June. :frowning:

@Tilltheend Hello! I’m a prospective CoE transfer. I read you posted something about there being a filtering process before actually being sent for review. How do you know this? I’m just curious to know, and was wondering if your application was sent for review yet?

ILR applicant here. My application was sent in for review…super nervous now…

@calmrod11235 , the part about the two stage process is in the FAQ section of their engineering website. As of the filtering process, it is more of like my personal speculations, since judging on the amount of applications they receive every year, I doubt the faculty, in this case, some professors are going to read them one by one. Majority of the applications would be cut off in the first stage, which is the general admission office. “Viable applications” then sent to the faculty for review. What major did you apply to btw?

Just got an email from admissions (I asked about summer school), and they said most decisions for the Engineering School should be out in May. Time to peace out from this forum for a few weeks and stop checking the portal every day.

Hello Everyone. I’m applying as a sophomore transfer from Baruch college in NYC. I have everything on my portal checked off except for my hs transcript. I’m applying to the school of hotel administration. I feel like talking to people who share in my nervousness will help to ameliorate my anxiety.

ILR applicant here, submitted application on March 15 for fall 2017. My portal still says my fee waiver hasn’t been received. I submitted a common application with the fee waiver :frowning:

@Victors I’m also applying as a sophomore transfer from Baruch College. I’m applying to CALS though
