How do you choose a minor? How does that work in the whole choosing classes roster?

Minors often come about organically, e.g. you took a course in a department other than your major and really enjoyed it, so you take a second course, and then decide you want to minor in it. For most departments, you can minor across colleges. My major was in CAS and my minor was in Human Ecology. Basically, don’t worry about it. Some people don’t minor in anything and some people minor in multiple things. Minors are basically a way to formally go more in depth on a topic you’re interested in without majoring in it.
