Cornell is ready for the 21st Century!

Here is an article that aptly illustrates how Cornell is preparing people for the coming century. It's a wonderful blend of science, business, sustainablity and just plain gumption...

For all you people getting ready to attend (or hoping to at least), don't forget that in between the opportunities to drink beer there are some pretty cool opportunities to shape the future.

hello wharf rat :)

if you want to read some neat stuff about nanotech, check out prof. craighead's group. his students always win tons of awards and get mentioned in the press.

Shizz,

In addition to your exploits following the Big Red Lynah Faithful, are you in Craignhead's group?

Wharf

Shizz, do you know anything about Prof. Ober's materials group, particularly the chem part? TIA

Wharf rat:
I'm not in Craighead's group, but a couple of my friends are. And every now and then I'll read in the Daily Sun or other newsletters about stuff his group have accomplished.

mudder:
All I know about Prof. Ober is that he is a very nice and approachable guy. I don't know about his research. People are always doing research in different departments at Cornell. You will often see people in Chemistry, AEP, ECE, MatSci, and Physics doing research in other departments.

Shizz, TY :)

Shizz,

Undergraduate research opportunities at Cornell abound. When I was there I did research in underwater archeology with an English professor no less.
