Cornell & NYC

So I hear that Cornell is about 4.5-5 hours away from the city. I thought I read somewhere that Cornell provides daily shuttles to and from the city, but does anyone know anything more about that? Is there pretty dependable transportation between the two? If so, how pricey?

(See, I'm kind of nervous about the whole rural area thing.)

i usually drive.

the Cornell "campus to campus" bus is something like $150 round trip and runs daily. expensive, but it's a pretty sweet bus.

I think there's another one, the standard bus line, that's much cheaper, I think barely half the price.

http://www.cornell.edu/visiting/ithaca/directions_bus_train.cfm

Shoreline runs regular services. RT student fare is as low as $65 on weekends. See http://www.coachusa.com/info/shortline/gc/coach.ss.tickets.item1.content.asp

the 65 weekend price is for holidays. typical price is around 81 bucks round trip. you're really not going to have the time to go to NYC during the semester except for a lucky weekend where you might have no work. even then, it's really not worth it for 81 bucks to go home for 1.5 days. And it's Shortline, not Shoreline.
