Cornell University Fall 2020 Transfer

@Newyorkkidd do we have to submit it ?

Don’t fill it out. It isn’t gonna help your chances of getting in. It is more for them to determine which courses accepted transfer students will get credit for

If you got in, did you request aid?

@transfer4200 That is only for Engineering applicants.

The TCRD COURSE description is only required by the College of Engineering

Has anyone gotten a decision for CALS?

@liileey So far no one has mentioned a CALS decision in the thread. What major did you apply for?

@CALSgirl2020 biological sciences.

Hey guys-- my financial aid checklist has 4 items on it and the status for all them is “initiated”… I’m assuming that means I’m all good? Thanks

The only thing that should remain on your list is the transfer transcript. If there are other things on that list, it means that they have not been accepted or received by the financial aid office

@TenTsewang4 Understood, thanks man-- I submitted all my CSS stuff including all the IDOC documents specifying Cornell as the recipient and submitted my FAFSA to them… everything is checked off. That’s it right?

I want to make sure I understand you correctly. The FA list should not show “initiated” several weeks after receiving an applicant profile from admissions? (In other words, even if you haven’t been accepted/rejected you should not be seeing “initiated” if they’ve had months or weeks to process documents which you’ve actually submitted?)

Or, are you you saying that this applies only after you have been accepted?

People earlier made it seem as though several documents that have been submitted sit on an “initiated” status until acceptance/rejection and that this was normal, but Cornell’s explanation seemed to indicate otherwise.

If they’re still on the list, I suggest calling them tomorrow. There was a mixup with my FAFSA, so thats why it was still on the list. It’s that or they just haven’t gotten to your app yet.

I believe it will stay as “Initiated”, until there has been a decision made on your app. I have not yet received a decision, but the only thing left on my checklist is the transfer transcript, which in the description states that it is to be done entirely on their side. That says “initiated” for me and I’m sure for anyone else that has not yet received a decision.

Thank you!

So, should we expect the next wave of decisions to come out next Tuesday?

@tomtransfer1 yes

Anyone apply to CALS Info Sci?

Anyone on here using the GI Bill do anything with financial aid or transfer their benefits yet? I thought I was supposed to transfer my benefits after finding out if I got in, but got an email a few days ago asking me if I had transferred mine yet or not.

@bluAnonymous I applied to CALS Info Sci as well
