Cornell University Fall 2020 Transfer

can we say that most of people accepted to CALS are from NYS in the recent weeks?

did cals send any rejection?

@Cornellian2025 Probably, but they don’t seem to be on this forum. This is only a really small group of applicants!

Guys just a friendly reminder that these admissions officers are humans - they have their own quarantine craziness, their own family, etc. There is no method to their madness by any means. This is ALL complete speculation, so if you haven’t heard back, absolutely don’t lose hope. For all we know, your application was on someone’s TODO, and they couldn’t complete their TODO in time for this round’s decision responses.

@user_494275 I completely agree! Thank you for reminding us. We need to be patient. Everyone’s dealing with their own things at a time like this.

@user_494275 I couldn’t agree more! We all need to remember to be patient and kind to one another (and ourselves). Everything will be ok everyone.

I thought I put a strong app.

I worked really hard and attend a good school (georgetown University)
I have done some summer programs at Cornell before
I had good Ecs and recs

I applied to Dyson, and I guess knowing the competitiveness and selectiveness of the school really put me in a disadvantge

Good Luck everybody, you got this!!

@trasfer4200 I go to gtown as well! good luck to you if you haven’t heard back.

@user_494275 I applied to dyson and got rejected.

i was pretty surprised but wasnt because most dyson transfers tend to be to students

i am going to u mich

Does anyone know when admitted students have to respond by with whether they are attending or not in the fall?

Is it July 1?

history non- TO

@tomtransfer1 within 30 days of receiving acceptance letter

@user09375020385 I’m not sure how to make one but I’d totally join! Or a groupme

@user09375020385 hey!! I’m a history major too! I swear I never see other history majors on these threads haha

@trasfer4200 sorry to hear you got rejected. UMich is a great school though, congrats! Could I ask for your stats? Assuming I get rejected from Cornell, I’m applying again next year and am going to apply to UMich.

Do you guys think one B from the current semester will affect the decision? In my mid-term report it was shown as an A but most likely going to end up with a B.

@anxierin I don’t think so. If they accept you, a B instead of an A wouldn’t cause them to rescind admission. I wouldn’t worry about it.

@trasfer4200 hey can I ask you why you are transferring? You go to Georgetown, which is a very good school, but I wanted to know why you would choose Umich over GT. I didn’t apply for both of these schools but I was just curious.

@amc2020 Thank you ? It sucks that my college does not have A- or B+ but straight A and B.

@anxierin My college is the same way, it’s really annoying. Hope you hear some good news soon!!
