@amc2020 I wish you get the good news soon as well!
How are all of my Dyson applicants feeling about their chances? =)
Since I admittedly glance through people’s post histories out of curiosity for stats when I’m stressed… Why lie about currently attending Georgetown/a T20 with a 4.0, when you’ve posted multiple times before that you’re at a SUNY?? ( http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/22776480#Comment_22776480 )
Not posting this to cause drama, but to point out that we really need to start taking these threads with a grain of salt. Not everything claimed on CC is true.
Why are you planning to transfer out of Georgetown?
@Yankeefan20 Lol see my post right above yours
That’s some tea.
Lol. Exposed.
Yikes! Really weird that people can just lie like that. Got suspicious when you apparently transferred into Ross for Finance, which is astronomically tough to do these days.
I do not trust anyones stats on here hahaha
This is so true! Someone was posting that they were rejected from Brown (not sure if it was the same person) but I literally called them today and they have yet to release a date of admission or actual decisions.
For those who hear back from cals, I am thinking that cals may reject your first major, but is reconsidering you for your second selection.
unpopular opinion: anyone who posts their stats is lying
i mean “for those who havent hear back yet”.
Hahaha I’m kinda naive and used to take stats posts at face value (because what’s the point of lying on an anonymous forum??), but in case anyone else needed motivation to stop comparing themselves to others on here…there ya go!
Cornell applicant drama? I’m here for it.
@faithcow2000 they explained that they applied and were rejected from Brown RUE which is different than regular decision. I saw more of the Brown Rue acceptances/rejections on credit. I think that might true
That’s hilarious. Plus a 3.0 college gpa is veryyyy different from a 4.0
@aspiringgirl Quarantine rly has people bored enough to create entirely different lives for themselves
out of all the threads I’m in, this one is the most entertaining. its a soap opera, betrayals, lies, emotions, acceptances, denials and suspense. how rivoting !
This is definitely why I don’t bother reading other people’s stats and why I don’t give out my own. First of all, it’s weird to me - personally - for other random people to know about how I’ve done in school? That’s between me, and a few set of people (including admissions, lol). Second, I don’t want to compare myself to others or be put up for comparison. There’s no need for it and it’s unhealthy. And lastly, people lie all the time! Especially on anonymous forums! It’s just so weird… But maybe that person was just self-conscious about their stats, especially on an Ivy League forum, and in that case: Don’t post them at all! We’re all just applicants trying to get into a school we think we’d really like. There’s no need to be someone else for random people. We’re all just trying to find our way.
