Anyone hear back from CAS?
@Andromeda10 No I’m not trying to argue lol I’m just curious because people in the past have gotten off waitlists because their GC called so the situation at your S’ s school is a bit unusual.
Someone on reddit got a call from HUMEC, so they are probably doing that today…
Just letting you guys know (and don’t go off my recent account creation cause I made one just for the case), I called the engineering admissions department and they said that there’s no “particular” day of release. So like just because you’re in engineering and didn’t hear back yesterday doesn’t mean you’re out for the running. Similarly, if you’re waitlisted for HUMEC, and don’t hear today, doesn’t mean that you’re out of the running. It’s a process and it takes it’s time; we have to be patient.

Just got an email from CAS. They said go email them Monday if I was interested in spring admission. If I don’t email them they will turn to other waitlisted students. They said they had no spots for fall. Feel free to ask me any questions

I don’t know if it was an actual offer of admission, because they don’t want to offer anyone admission if they aren’t 100% committed. They want us to email them back if we are interested and I assume if we would receive an offer of admission later on in the month, maybe next week. Thus, it was not a phone call, and I received no information about financial aid. Again, that would probably come with an official offer.
Does this mean there’s no space for the fall semester for CAS?
@add444 did CAS explicitly state that they won’t be taking anyone off the waitlist for spring admission? Also, did you tick “yes” to the spring option on the waitlist response form or did they ask you that nonetheless? Any context would be helpful. Thanks
For WL it is very common not to offer an official admission until they know it will be accepted. They would usually give you 1-few days to decide.
Is anyone here who got an email from CAS an international?
They explicitly said that if we did not email them back confirming our interest they would turn to other students on the waitlist @intlnavigator I did say I was interested in spring admission. @collegedream101 they said they had no room for fall, thus will not be offering anyone admission for fall from the waitlist for CAS
I got the email too, but I think it may be a general email to all waitlisted applicants from CAS - did everyone who apply to CAS receive it?

My son applied to CAS and refused the spring option; no email today.
