Countdown To D-day

they send an email with the title "Admission Status Change" w/ the link...all you have to do is login and see the updated status...good luck to IDers!!!

to icymoon: "I'm going to curse the fact that it'll take two extra days to arrive in California than in Texas. "

silly icymoon : )...try two extra weeks!

yay for email, hehe

for ED..ppl in Texas got theirs on a Saturday, I believe...out in cali I got my on Monday...

mea: probably not 2 weeks...decisions (at least acceptances) are sent via priority mail :)

Thank goodness I do not live in Asia anymore.

smazn: an extra reason to cross my fingers for acceptance then ;).

nspeds: well, it has its perks. You learn to be patient, for example. (kidding! Hongkie is great)

Yes, mea, I see your pain now. :p

Acceptances were sent priority mail to people living in the U.S., but is it the same for international applicants? I thought it was Fedex or whatever. Correct me if I'm wrong.

"Thank goodness I do not live in Asia anymore."
............why? Asia is awesome

Question - are decisions available via e-mail? Will they be up early online as well?

Of course it is, but not in the context of the mailing system. When I was living in the Middle East (I prefer to call it a part of Asia), all of our international mail was put aside for inspection for at least two weeks.

Yep, they'll be online.

So, within a week, I'm betting that we'll all know. Crazy stuff, huh? Who's nervous???

I'm super nervous. My stomach is all in knots. I can't stop thinking about it. Good luck everyone!!!

We can do it! Whoo hoo, go CC support group ^_<

does anyone want to call the office to see when and how the decisions will be meted out. note the use of the word meted... like medieval torture lol...................... i think i'll write a program that refreshes my inbox constanty :)

GMail automatically refreshes if you leave the window open. If you have an email-address that is POP-Capable, you can set a scheduled refresh of the inbox in Outlook and have a "custom sound alert" for e-mails from Rice.

Wow, that's really cool. I have GMail and I had no idea it could do that. Thanks for the tip!

Sempitern, I'm also curious to know if anybody wants to call the admissions office to know when/how decisions are going to be sent.

Does anyone want to volunteer? :D

I volunteer icymoon! Anybody second this?

If you guys can find out- more power to you.

ecnerwalc, :p
