Hey guys, is it true that CR score is more important than writing score? I read somewhere that AOs only look at the math and CR sections... Asking this because my CR score is quite good but my writing score is not so good... =(

yes definately. the writing section is new and so its less respected. colleges dont really know how it reflects the student yet. a lot of colleges i've looked at kind of just disregard the writing. HOWEVER: having a high writing score boosts your whole score. and colleges defs look at your whole score. so don't get ur self down in ur CR is low. may you can take the test again before apps are due?

If you're applying to a college that required the SAT II Writing before the College Board got rid of it like Columbia College, then the writing section is still really important. But for a school like NYU, their policy is to disregard the writing completely.
