Credentials for UMich?

I am looking at applying here in the fall because of this school's excellent reputation in just about every major. I am looking into engineering, chemistry, biology, pre med, or psychology.

I am currently ranked in the top 8%, and will most likely graduate in the top 5%.
I go to a public school with roughly 600 in my class.
I currently have a 3.9 unweighted GPA, and a 4.25 weighted GPA.
I have taken 2 AP Courses (Government and Statistics) and am taking 5 next year: Chemistry, Physics-Mechanics, BC Calculus, Micro/Macro Economics, and English.
I currently have a 29 ACT. I have only taken it once, but I hope to raise it to a 30+ and I know I am capable of doing so. My Math score is a 31, Science 30, English 28, and Reading 27, and a 10 on my Essay. I am not so strong in Reading or English, but I do well writing. My SAT was not-so-high with an 1890 due to a low critical reading score (560). I had a 690 on math and 640 writing, thanks to the Essay helping my score.
I am varsity gymnastics, will be captain next year. I ran track two years, am Student Council Class VP, and was a Key Club Officer- Bulletin Editor Junior Year.
I have traveled the world. I have been to 25 countries/ 4/7 continents, which I think could help my case.

I apologize for such a lengthy description. Anyway, if anyone could let me know of my chances, it would be a great help, thanks!

If youre instate I would say match/low reach. If you are out of state I would say reach, get that ACT score up for better chance.

Id say low reach the only thing holding you back is your act get it up a point or 2 and your a match

You’re fine. Just make sure that your UW and W GPA stay up there/get higher. Be sure to get some really good recommendations and write some awesome essays. Fill your senior year schedule with rigorous courses as well. I got in with a 27 ACT so your 29 is fine and apply EA. Good luck!

Your GPA and course rigor are where they should be. If you can raise your ACT to 31, Michigan becomes a solid match. Apply EA.

Thanks for the feedback. I am out of state, but I do hope to raise my ACT substantially when I retake it in June!
