Yeah, i posted this somewhere else, but it's really, really bothering me. I got a 680 on critical reading (perfect on other sections), and--for an asian male--I know that's just plain horrible. But how bad is it? I plan to retake it and hopefully IMPROVE to show that I do have the ability/potential. I hope to apply to Yale EA, so any suggestions/advice? lol thanks

800 on math and 800 on writing....I dont think you got much to worry about..since your able to send the highest scores to the college of your choice you could bring that 680 to a 800...

Thats a 2280...which is by far not bad at all. I dont think you have anything to worry about, even if you dont bring up your score too much. If everything else is good (grades, ECs, essay, etc) then you should be fine.

absolutely must improve score

I think without a hook you will have ZERO chance at Yale this year with that score. A successful unhooked applicant, much less an Asian applicant, needs 750 plus for a real shot. Just too many applicants who have it.

The problem with that 680 is that not all colleges count writing.

So you're a 1480 to them not a 2280. That's not BAD but plenty of kids with similar profile will have higher scores.

Haha, so I'm definitely retaking it....
