I'm currently a freshman at CSUB majoring in Music Education. I could've gone to a UC, but money was an issue and CSUB offered me scholarships for the music program. My goal is to attend UCB and was wondering what are the chances of me transferring from CSUB to UCB? Is it more likely since my major isn't in demand???

UCs almost never accept transfer applicants from CSUs. You would have the absolute lowest priority. CCC transfer applicants, UC to UC transfers and OOS applicants from four year colleges and universities would all be given priority over CSU transfer applicants. Unfortunately for you, if you wanted to graduate from a UC you should have accepted their offer of admission. Once you enroll in a CSU you are deemed to have made an irrevocable decision to obtain your higher education through the CSU system and will be excluded by the UC system.

Ok thank you

I’m in a similar situation as you. I’m a freshman at SJSU and I really want to go to a UC, so I’m attending a community college as a Sophomore and then transferring to a UC. If you really want it badly, just put in the work for a year and be happy for the next 2-3.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking of doing. That for a UC to UC transfer… I’m going to ask the admissions. :l
