CSUF - D in Algebra - High school

So when I was taking Algebra 3-4 in high school I got a D first semester.
I have a mathematical learning disability and am extremely challenged in math though accelerated in language and arts and have taken honors and AP classes in those courses.

I really want to attend this school but I know they do not accept "D"s.

If I take "algebra applications" my senior year of high school which is like - dumbed down "special math" - and do well, will I still be able to get accepted? It will be over the required amount of math classes needed. Or do I have to retake algebra?

I could retake it online but I live in so much fear of taking math because of my disability. It literally puts me to tears and terrifies me to think of taking it again. :/ Taking Algebra apps would be much more fitting and I might be able to survive it unscathed.

Thank you so much in advance for your input.

CSU’s subject requirements are listed here:

[CSUMentor - Plan for College - High School Students - High School Subject Requirements](<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Freshman: Admission Requirements | CSU)

You need three years of high school math with grades of C or better (though they may allow a higher course to validate lower courses that you did not take or got a D in).

Use the following site to determine which courses at your high school count (it is for UC, but UC and CSU have the same course requirement categories):

[University of California Doorways Home](http://www.ucop.edu/doorways/)

Note that this site also has a detailed description of the math requirement:

[University of California - a-g Guide](http://www.ucop.edu/a-gGuide/ag/a-g/math_reqs.html)

What’s Algebra 3-4? Do you mean Algebra 1?

For CSUs and UCs, if you retake the course then they don’t consider the original at all. But it has to be the exact same.

No, it’d be Algebra 2 I guess.

And okay. Sigh.
