CUNY Lehman or community college: where to start off before transferring?

<p>Both schools are an abomination to mankind. Anyway where should I start off before transferring?</p>

<p>What are you looking to major in? Where do you plan on going?</p>

<p>Potential majors- film studies, philosophy, psychology, communications</p>

<p>Potential schools- NYU, USC, UNC, UVA, Vandy, Wesleyan, Stanford, Yale, Duke, GWU, Occidental, Columbia GS, BC, Emory, Cornell, SUNY Binghamton</p>

<p>What was your high school GPA? I can’t really help you because I’m in a similar situation. But I was just curious.</p>

<p>hs gpa- 2.79 :-[ never lived up to my potential.</p>

<p>sat- 1440/2400- will be retaken in the fall!</p>

<p>Some of the NY community colleges have a transfer agreement with NYU Steinhardt, which is the school that has the Communications major. I think Applied Psych is also in Steinhardt and covered under the agreement. Just something to think about. I think it’s Kingsborough, BMCC and a few other. </p>

<p>I’m not too sure about the details. </p>

<p>That was hypothetically speaking. I wanted to gauge my “stats” against other applicants. I was just testing the waters, so to speak. I plan on entering lehman or cc with a wealth of knowledge and a newfound confidence in myself that previously ceased to exist all thanks to the cc transfer forum. :)</p>

<p>“plan on” sounds like future tense to me, whereas these are present tense:</p>
