cut-off scores/semi-finalist announcements

Anyone know if anything under 212 works in Michigan? Thanks!

Alabama cutoff is 210 according to GC.
My child missed it by one point. Will that mean that she gets commended?

I haven’t heard back, but I’m assuming I’ll get it with a 216 in Wisconsin. I would be extremely surprised if it jumped 8 points from last year… :)

Yes, she will be commended.

abmiller, we’re right with you with our son having a 215 in Illinois as well. Sure would like to know.

Thanks for the news about 'Bama. Our eldest son is in one of the Honors Suites–beautiful, but only guaranteed for one year and not likely to be available henceforth.

We’re going to tour Alabama in late September so hopefully our second son will be impressed–assuming a 216 score from Wisconsin makes the grade. Otherwise, a much more expensive Georgetown.

Kansas cutoff is 211 per paperwork in S’s packet!

Does it make sense as a 217er to still keep my fingers crossed? Oh, the agony. :(

A 216 will most certainly make it in Wisconsin.** Wisconsin has been much lower for few years now. It was 207 last year. There’s no way it could jump to 217. no state has ever jumped 10 points! LOL

And, the trick to getting honors housing for all 4 years at Bama is to be sure to “re-contract” on time. Even tho the honors housing price is included in NMF scholarship, a student still needs to re-contract to indicate a desire to stay on campus.

Washington State <=222

Got my packet today in Hawai’i (231).

Not sure of the exact cutoff, but there’s another semifinalist with a 217, so it’s that or lower.

Did anyone else notice that Montana’s cutoff went up a whopping 4 points?

Alabama went up 2 points from last year!

Anyone in CA received NMSC semifinalist package yet? What is your PSAAT score?

Anyone know about Oregon?

Nope. I’m sure the Oregon schools have them - maybe they’re waiting for class to start?

D from OR w/ a 228 rec’d her letter from school in the mail today but no indication of the cutoff.

My son decided to hold off telling me about his packet until last night as a birthday surprise! 214 TN. It had been 213 the last 3 years, so I was hopeful but worried. It looks like they lowered it to 212 this year. It was a great birthday! I hope everyone hears soon and hope for good news for all those on the line!
